What Do You See-weekly prompt

For the visually challenged reader, the image shows a man carrying a puppy in a carrier bag across his shoulders. The puppy looks pensive.

In the shelter, I never thought

I would be loved like this

Then my dad came looking

Chose me, and we sealed it with a lick

He is my best friend

I’m his ride or die

He takes me everywhere

He says I am his #1 guy

I’m not ready to run with the big dogs

Though I try my best

But when I get tired, I travel in style

Right on my daddy’s chest!

This is such a beautiful and heartwarming poem! I love how the author paints such a vivid image of the bond between the man and the puppy. It’s amazing to see the puppy travel on his dad’s chest when he gets tired and the poem speaks of the unconditional love between them.
